چکیده

Alveoli are the basic structure of lungs, consisting various types parenchymal and bone marrow-derived cells including alveolar macrophages. These have several important functions; thus, communication between these plays an role in homeostasis as well pathophysiology diseases lungs. For a better understanding lung diseases, researchers isolated each type cell to investigate changes their gene expressions, humoral factor or adhesion molecules, reveal intercellular among cells. In particular, investigations during past decade focused on extracellular vesicles, which lipid bilayer delimited vesicles released from that can move transfer substances, microRNAs, mRNAs proteins, functioning messengers. Extracellular be classified into three general groups: apoptotic bodies, exosomes, microparticles. especially exosomes microparticles, attracting increasing attention pulmonologists tools for pathogenesis disease diagnosis. Here, we review studies, our own, microparticles roles both such idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, chronic obstructive acute respiratory distress syndrome. This also addresses COVID-19, current global public health crisis.

Emerging roles of extracellular vesicles in the nervous system.

Information exchange executed by extracellular vesicles, including exosomes, is a newly described form of intercellular communication important in the development and physiology of neural systems. These vesicles can be released from cells, are packed with information including signaling proteins and both coding and regulatory RNAs, and can be taken up by target cells, thereby facilitating the t...

Emerging roles of extracellular vesicles in cellular senescence and aging

Cellular senescence is a cellular program that prevents the proliferation of cells at risk of neoplastic transformation. On the other hand, age-related accumulation of senescent cells promotes aging at least partially due to the senescence-associated secretory phenotype, whereby cells secrete high levels of inflammatory cytokines, chemokines, and matrix metalloproteinases. Emerging evidence, ho...

Genotype and phenotype of COVID-19: Their roles in pathogenesis

COVID-19 is a novel coronavirus with an outbreak of unusual viral pneumonia in Wuhan, China, and then pandemic. Based on its phylogenetic relationships and genomic structures the COVID-19 belongs to genera Betacoronavirus. Human Betacoronaviruses (SARS-CoV-2, SARS-CoV, and MERS-CoV) have many similarities, but also have differences in their genomic and phenotypic structure that can influence th...

EXTRACELLULAR VESICLES AND THEIR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS: A REVIEW

Background & Aims: Extracellular vesicles are double phospholipid layer vesicles releasing from several cells.  These particles contain bio-molecules including mRNA, miRNA, DNA, proteins, and lipids which play a pivotal role in the cell to cell communication. Once delivered, they participate to change target cell function, fate, morphology, differentiation, and growth. The present study is a re...

Extracellular vesicles in parasitic diseases

Parasitic diseases affect billions of people and are considered a major public health issue. Close to 400 species are estimated to parasitize humans, of which around 90 are responsible for great clinical burden and mortality rates. Unfortunately, they are largely neglected as they are mainly endemic to poor regions. Of relevance to this review, there is accumulating evidence of the release of e...
